Despite the fact that we haven't seen a new release in a few months, Stop, Pop, and Roll is far from dormant. Ad Frank and Paula Kelley are hard at work on their follow-ups, the label is in talks with some other fine artists for a hopeful fall release or two, and recently, A&R man Aaron Tap sat down with Pennyblack Music for an interview about the label and his thoughts on the independent music scene. Check it out. |

From the ashes of Jackass Records rises a new and more powerful beast, Stop, Pop, and Roll, Inc. 2001 is going to be a big year for us, as we're planning to release two albums by artists from two of Boston's favorite now-defunct bands. Ad Frank and Paula Kelley have each crafted the best records of their careers and we are pleased to be bringing them to the public. First comes Ad Frank's "Mr. Fancypants," a dense collection of songs about the most classic pop music topic: heartbreak. It will be released in late March. A couple months later we'll see Paula Kelley's sprawling pop masterpiece, "Nothing/Everything." All of Jackass's previous releases are available here on the site as well, and we'll be featuring special, fan-club-only releases from time to time, so be sure to join us. It's going to be a heck of a ride. |
